Funeral services for Floyd Taylor "Bud" Hammonds Sr., 82, of Hawkins, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home chapel in Hawkins with Dr. Bill Holmes officiating. Interment will be in the Hawkins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
Mr. Hammonds passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 in a Tyler hospital.
Mr. Hammonds was born Feb. 24, 1931, in Corsicana to Claude and Sue C. Coffee Hammonds. He had worked in the oil industry as an oilfield tank builder and had lived in Hawkins since the age of 11.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Floyd T. Jr. and Viki Hammonds, of Hawkins, Diane and Van Garner, of Hawkins, Richard H. Hammonds, of Hawkins, Carl Glenn and Tannja Hammonds, of Hawkins, Nona and Daryl Del Cook, of Hawkins, and Eddie Wayne Hammonds and Vicky Himel, of Big Sandy; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Hammonds, Eddie Hammonds, Carl Hammonds, Floyd Hammonds III, Marty Wayne Hammonds, Cameron Cook and C.J. Hammonds.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home chapel in Hawkins.
