The Angels are singing, for God has taken our precious Angel home to stay, and left us with her love, wisdom and strength to remember and live with. Doris C. Ward, age 95, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2006.

She was born Nov. 5, 1910, in Colbert, Okla. A resident of Tyler since 1941, she was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church since 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enod L. Ward; son, David S. Ward; daughter, Dana Lee Molloy; brothers, Cornwall, Charles, Garland and James Collins; sisters, Reba Rice and Czarina Raines.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Sue Brown; three grandchildren, Sheri Byford, Charlie Molloy and Melissa Strait; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Byford, Michael Strait, Christina and Bradon Molloy; brothers, Harold and Jab Collins; and a sister, Sallie Crawford.
Visitation will be at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit. The Rev. Ward Livingston will officiate.
