Donna Sue Thedford Bacon, 73, of Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away on June 22, 2014. She was born Oct. 8, 1940, near Tyler, and lived in Oklahoma most of her life with her husband of 42 years, Leroy Ba-con.
Donna was preceded in this journey by her father, Hubbard Thedford; her mother, Vivian Richardson Thedford Parrish; her brothers, Maurice "Jack" Thedford, Joel Thedford; her sister, Linda Thedford Riddle; and her son-in law, Daniel Russell.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Bacon Russell; her grandchildren, Selvy and Ganin Russell; her sister-in-law, Wilma Camp Thedford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donna proudly graduated from Texas Woman's University and the University of Iowa and enjoyed working at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center as a clinical dietitian and professor for 20 years.
She was a faithful servant to her Savior, the biggest Southern Gospel Music fan, a creative scrapbooker and devoted friend.
A celebration of her life with her family and friends will be held Friday, June 27, 2 p.m. at Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church, 4500 SE 31st in Del City, Okla.
