Funeral services for Mr. Don Crowell, age 79, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 in the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Rev. Lewis Pollard officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow at 2:30 P.M. at the Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman, Texas with Pastor Brett Castle officiating with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Don died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in a Tyler, Texas hospice center. He was born in Denison, Texas on February 15, 1939 to the late Herman W. and Mabel L. (Jennings) Crowell and was a longtime resident of Lindale. Don served in the United States Navy and retired from U. S. Tobacco. He was a 40-year member of the Lindale Masonic Lodge #848 and was also a member of Scottish Rite and the First Baptist Church Lindale. Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Cari DeLynn Crowell and brother, Herman Odor Crowell. Don is survived by his 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Craig A. & Karen Crowell of Lindale, Texas; Cory D. & Angela Crowell of Lindale, Texas and Cris D. Crowell of Lindale, Texas; 6 grandchildren & spouses, Brittany & Zane Brown, Seth & Megan Crowell, Courtney & Chris Sorrell, Caitlin Crowell, Christopher Crowell & Katie Chance, and Cheyenne Crowell; and 5 great grandchildren, Jackson Crowell, Lawson Sorrell, Zoe Brown, Owen Crowell and Wylder Crowell. Serving as pallbearers will be, Sam Ferguson, Kerry Hamblet, Dean Childers, Charles Lane, John Holey, Bill Summerville and Lee Jeans. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy McKay. The Crowell family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas Homeplace, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701 or to St. Jude's Hospital.
