Memorial services for Ed Hearn, 56, of Dallas, will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017, at 3 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Leonard officiating.

Mr. Hearn passed away February 9, 2017, at his residence in Fort Worth.

He was born May 10, 1961, in Dallas to Benny Jeff and Helen Joan Jewett Hearn.

Ed grew up in the Dallas area. In 1982, he was involved in an auto-train accident from which he was not expected to survive, but through the Grace of God, he lived and became an inspiration to many people through his determination to succeed in life. Ed graduated from North Texas State University with a business degree. He was a home-owner and worked every day. Even with all of his disabilities from the accident, he was determined to be a normal, productive person in daily living.

Ed enjoyed lighthouse figurines and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving brother to all of his siblings.

He is survived by his loving family including his mother, Helen Joan Hearn of Tyler; father, Benny Jeff Hearn and wife Barbara of Kaufman; siblings, Benny (Brad) Hearn, Vernon Neil Hearn, Nelson Hearn and Stephanie Leonard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brain Injury Association of America, P O Box 7416, Merrifield, VA 22116-7416.
