Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Joyce Bryant, 70, of Grand Saline are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Bartley Funeral Home with the Rev. E.K. Carter and the Rev. Robert Lamb officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
After a long battle with failing health, Brenda entered into eternal life Dec. 10, 2012. Brenda was born July 25, 1942, in Grand Saline to the late Sam Savage and Helen Murphy Savage. She married Don Bryant on May 26, 1961. She lived in Mineola seven years and 31 years in Tyler. Brenda was a member of Rose Heights Church of God in Tyler. She loved to sing in church. She was a member of the Central/Shields Cemetery Board in Grand Saline, and a member of the Morning Star Lodge 851 Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union. Brenda was a housewife and retired from Tyler ISD.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Don Bryant of Grand Saline; daughters, Vonnie Bryant of Canton, Donna Bryant of Dickson, Tenn., Cheryl Clark of Edgewood, and Glenda Minor of Tyler; son, Tom Bryant of Grand Saline; brother and sister-in-law, Sammy and Ruth Savage of Grand Saline; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be John Bryant, Johnnie Bryant, Mutt Pugh, Thomas Pugh, Harold Lowe, Ken Bishop and Russell Bishop.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Thursday.
Donations may be made to the Central/Shields Cemetery of Grand Saline.
