Services for Allene Hill Kidd, 91, Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ward Livingston officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kidd passed away June 11, 2006, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. She was born to the late Sam R. and Pearl Beard Hill on Sept. 17, 1914, and was a lifelong resident of Tyler. She attended the Tyler public schools and married Herman Kidd in 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Herman Lee Kidd; an infant son, Herman Lee Kidd Jr.; a daughter, Susan, and a son-in-law, Don R. Boyd.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Kidd Boyd of Houston, Nancy Kidd Turman and husband James, Martha Kidd Kowalik and husband Walt of Tyler; grandchildren, Kevin Turman and wife Angie, Leslie Turman Ward and husband Tom of Tyler, Robin Turman Schmidt and husband Jerry of Norman, Okla., Steven Kowalik and wife Erin of Las Cruces, N.M., Scott Kowalik and wife Shannon of Longview, Katy Heisterman and husband Matt, Sarah Boyd and husband Lambert of Austin, Melissa Boyd Johnson and husband Ken, Michael Boyd and wife Kelly of Houston, David Boyd and wife Vivian of Goliad. She had 16 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Nina Hill Carpenter of Tyler, and Essie Hill Comiskey McCardell of Houston.

Mrs. Kidd was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she was active in the UMW and served in various capacities, a member of the Tyler Woman's Forum and Katherine Speas Garden Club. For 20 years she opened her home to the ladies of St. Paul's for a Wednesday morning Bible study.

Pallbearers are her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church; St. Paul Children's Foundation; Hospice of East Texas; or a charity of your choice.
