Services for Winifred Calvin Folmar, 75, of Tyler will be on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with the Rev. George Folmar officiating.
Burial will follow in Cathedral of the Pines Cemetery in Tyler under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Folmar passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, in Tyler.
He was born Dec. 28, 1938, in Frankston to Wade Hamilton and Dixie Elerzine Hughes Folmar.
Winifred was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Tyler.
He was raised in Frankston and graduated from Frankston High School. After high school, Winifred joined the Army where he was stationed in Germany in 1961. He worked for Brookshire Grocery Co. for 13 years. Mr. Folmar enjoyed spending time with his family, especially playing putt-putt golf and board games.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Folmar is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 41 years, Margaret Folmar, of Tyler; sister, Nixie McMillan, of Flint; brother, Archie Folmar, of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Barlow, Buddy Nolen, Bryan Taylor, Robert McMillan, Leo Schlensker and Bill Aven.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
