Mass of Christian burial for William J. Colvin, age 80, of Jacksonville is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville with Father Robert Lanik, Father James Seamus Roland and Father Efren Naño officiating. Service will be under direction of Autry Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Still Waters Memorial Garden in Jacksonville.
Mr. Colvin passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, in Jacksonville.
William was born May 27, 1933, in San Antonio.
Mr. Colvin served as a captain in the United States Air Force. William was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville and a member of the Jacksonville Rotary Club. He also was a buyer in retail merchandising.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay D. and Marguerite Colvin.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen Colvin, of Jacksonville; sons, Bill Colvin, of Garland, Eric Colvin and wife Raquel, of New Braunfels, John Colvin and wife Kristen, of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Karen Messer and husband Bruce, of Arlington; sister, Colette Greene and husband Bill, of Keithville, La; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, with rosary to begin at 6 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
