Memorial services for Robert William Bruton Jr., 60, of Bullard, will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Isaac officiating.
Mr. Bruton passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, in Bullard.
He was born Feb. 5, 1954, in Corpus Christi to Robert William Bruton Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth West.
Mr. Bruton served as Air Force crew chief on B-52s and was honorably discharged after four years of service. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1991 with a BS in Education.
He was a teacher and taught in Palestine and Elkhart, retiring two years ago after 21 years of service. Known as "Captain Rob," he had a tremendous love for life and his family. He was a loving husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle and friend.
Mr. Bruton was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 38 years, Linda Bruton, of Bullard; son, Randall West Bruton and wife Rebecca, of Keller; daughter, Emily Louise Ramsey and husband Robert, of Bullard; grandchildren, Donovan West Bruton, Maddux Kyle Bruton, Dylan Sean Ramsey and Derek Lee Ramsey; siblings, Dorothy Lee, of Dallas, Pamela Bruton and friend John, of Victoria, Priscilla Stiles and husband Harry, of Rosenberg, Cynthia Roecker and husband Richard, of Calallen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Texas Wounded Warrior Project, 4301 Fillbrook Lane, Tyler, 75707. Arrangements are with Stewart Family Funeral Home.
