Obituary

Funeral services for Matthew "Frank" Ford, 69, Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at New Generation Baptist Church with the Rev. Elmer Rogers officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler. Mr. Ford died March 9, 2014, at The Hospice of East Texas.
He was born Sept. 18, 1944, in Tyler and had resided in Dallas and Tyler. He graduated from Emmett J. Scott High School. He was a member of New Generation Baptist Church. He was an auto maintenance worker for the city of Dallas. He also served in the Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Moses Ford; brother, Amos Lee Ford.
Survivors include mother, Ida Mae Ford, Tyler; daughter, Kim Session, Dallas; two brothers, Moses Ford Jr. and Robert Ford, both of Tyler; four sisters, Darlene Foster, Tyler, Alma Jessie, Monroe, La., Linda Howland and Wanda Lollar, both of Tyler; and two grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at the funeral home.
