Graveside services for George Wyatt Summers, 52, of Lake Cherokee, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Romnie Scott officiating. Interment will follow under direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
George died of a sudden illness on Aug. 16, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 4, 1962, in Amarillo and had lived on Lake Cherokee for the past 15 years. George was a graduate of West Rusk High School, Kilgore College, and Texas A&M University. He previously worked for Texas Eastman and was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Summers; and grandparents, J.W. "Rabbit" and Jess Summers and George and Era Mae Williams.
Survivors include his parents, Lewis and Patsy Summers; aunts and uncles, Charlie and Patsy Summers, Marilyn Summers, Janis and John Underwood and Jim Bob and Jan Williams; and several cousins and other relatives.
