Garland Bullard Latham


Garland Bullard Latham, born in Grayville on July 16, 1927, to parents James and Cora Bullard Latham, died on Feb. 26, 2014, in Tyler.
Garland was a veteran of World War II. He served in the Army and was a member of the VFW. Garland was an inspector and instructor for Radiological Monitoring for the Texas State Health Department in Austin, prior to that he was a barber and owner of his own barber shop in Austin.
Garland is survived by his wife, Marlene Latham; children, Gary Latham (spouse-Sue Latham), and Karen Johnson (spouse-Noble Johnson); grandchildren, Jeff Latham (spouse-Arenda), Jennifer Dieter (spouse-Ben), Chris Johnson (spouse-Michelle) and Charles Latham (spouse-Leigh); great-grandchildren, Lyssa Dieter, Katy Dieter, Laurel Johnson and Matilda Johnson.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 1, 2014, from noon to 2 p.m. at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, Hico. Services will be at 2 p.m. at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hico Cemetery.
