Charles Burris Dorsey, 79, suddenly left to enter his eternal heavenly home Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014.
Funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel.
Interment will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Texas Highway 323, Rusk County.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Greenwood.
Charles entered this world June 29, 1935, born to Burris E. and Luna Mae Dorsey. He grew up in Henderson and graduated from Henderson High School in 1953. Charles was a veteran of the Army 1957 to 1960 and then the Army Reserve. He loved serving families in his long career as a funeral director, and after retirement worked many years in the Dillard's men's department at both Ridgmar and Hulen malls in Fort Worth.
Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Dorsey and Robert Milford Dorsey.
He will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family.
Survivors are his wife since 1994, Dwanna Osborn Sneed Dorsey; wife 1960 to 1985, Barbara Burchfield Dorsey Frey; children, Regina Dorsey, Roger Dorsey and wife DeeAnn, Roy Sneed and wife Andrea, and Angela Cuppett and husband Dale; nieces and nephews, Robert Dorsey, Ronnie Dorsey, Becky Cook and Rita Dorsey; grandchildren, Sawyer, Sarah, Jacob, Matthew, Rachel, Donald, Bethany, Chaney and Aaron; and many wonderful cousins and other family members and friends.
