Billy Roy Plunk Sr., 80, of Mineola died on Jan. 13, 2014. He was born on Saturday, Dec. 16, 1933, to the late Roy Monroe and Bertha Plunk. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, was retired from Lockheed Martin with more than 42 years of service and moved to Mineola with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Plunk; and a sister.
He is survived by his two sons, Billy Roy Plunk Jr., of Fort Worth, Danny Wayne Plunk, of Mineola; three daughters, Karen Plunk, of Fort Worth, Alicia E. Plunk, of Moultrie, Ga., and Holly Joanna Plunk, of Hughes Springs; brother, James L. Plunk and wife Carol, of Mineola; seven grandchildren, Colt, Sierra, Kaila, Vincent, Rylee, Josiah and Wesley; several nieces, nephews and other extended close family and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola.
Funeral service will be at Beaty Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. officiated by David Schmidt.
