Services for Bennie Frank Freeman Sr., 65, Dallas, formerly of Lindale, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Friendship CME Church with the Rev. Kenneth Caine officiating.
Burial will be in Carmel Cemetery under direction of Brooks- Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler.
Mr. Freeman died Dec. 21, 2013, in Irving.
He was born Nov. 16, 1948, in Lindale. He was a member of Friendship C.M.E. Church and a retired truck driver with TXI Industries. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ara Wooten Freeman; four brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Horton Freeman; sons, Bennie Freeman Jr., Courtney Freeman, Joshua Freeman and Phillip Hunter; daughter, Shirley Delany; brother, Carl Freeman; sister, Faye Griffin; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
