Jimmy Don Canaday

Funeral services for Jimmy Don Canaday, 69, Winnsboro, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Quitman, with Bro. Fred Morrow and the Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman.

He was born May 2, 1943, in Sulphur Springs to the late Curtis and Imogene Cave Canaday. He passed away April 23, 2013, at his residence. Jimmy was a self-employed exterminator, deacon at Rock Hill Baptist Church and a 16-year owner of Canaday Dairy in Winnsboro.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Doris Canaday, Winnsboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Justin and D'Anne Canaday, Winnsboro, Robby and Rhondie Huddleston, Quitman; daughter, Robin Huddleston McDowell, Winnsboro; two sisters and brothers-in law, Norma and Bill Beech and Diane and Bobby Blackwell, Quitman; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Harry Darby, Tim Yeager, Doyle Bailey, Bill Medlin, Jerry Williams, Chris Blackwell and Shannon Beech. Those serving as honorary pallbearers are Craig Davis, James Harris, Ken Goodson, Doy Plocher and Gaynor McCord.
