Wesley Ferrell

Services for Mr. Wesley Ferrell, age 85, of New Harmony are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, in the New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale.
Mr. Ferrell died on Friday, July 19, 2013, at The Hospice of East Texas HomePlace in Tyler. He was born on Feb. 1, 1928, in New Harmony to Louie and Willie Adams Ferrell and was a lifelong resident of the New Harmony community. Mr. Ferrell was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He served as president and treasurer for the Smith County Missionary Baptist Association, New Harmony Community Center and the New Harmony Water Supply. Mr. Ferrell was retired accountant for the Roosth and Genecov Production Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Willie Ferrell; sister, Mary Barron; brothers, Thomas Ferrell and Hubert Ferrell; and by a daughter-in-law, Michelle Ferrell.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Peggy Ferrell, of New Harmony; two sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin Ferrell, of New Harmony, and Don and Beverly Ferrell, of New Harmony; daughter and son-in-law, Marla and Ricky Clements, of Flint; seven grandchildren, Shannan McEuen and husband Mike, Shawna Tunnell and husband Nathan, Aaron Clements, Whitney Clements and fiance' Chad Sherman, Carter Clements, Paden Ferrell and Paige Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Madyson McEuen, Zachary McEuen, Cooper McEuen, Alex McEuen, Tristan Tunnell and Noah Tunnell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Clements, Carter Clements, Nathan Tunnell, Mike McEuen, Paden Ferrell and Chad Sherman.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the New Harmony Baptist Church.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
