W.C. Spraggins

W.C. Spraggins, 84, of Troup, passed away April 26, 2014, in Tyler.
Born May 1, 1929, to Jimmie and Willie Spraggins in Jacksonville, W.C. married Jean Hedgecough on Dec. 4, 1946. A lifelong resident of Troup, W.C. was a mechanic, fire chief of Troup and a paramedic for ETMC EMS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; and his parents, Jimmie and Willie.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jerry Dudley, of Tyler; granddaughter, Daphne and Patrick and great-grandson, Justin, of Troup; granddaughter, Misty and great-granddaughter, Victoria and great-grandson, Jacob; sister and brother-in-law, Bobby and David, of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Rosemary of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Georgia and Gene, of Tennessee.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, under direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home of Bullard.
Interment will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.
