Tommy Earl James

Services for Mr. Tommy Earl James, age 64, of Winona are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery.
Mr. James died on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at The Hospice of East Texas HomePlace in Tyler.
He was born on May 28, 1949, in Jonesboro, Ark., to Edward and Irene Powell James and was formerly of Tyler before moving to Winona in 1998. Mr. James was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army, a member of the American Legion, and was employed by the Carrier Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Irene James, and by 2 brothers, Butch James & Eddie James.
Survivors include sons, Timothy James and wife Christy, of Tyler, Tom James and partner Greg Banks, of Jefferson; daughter, Toni Michelle McCollum and husband Edward, of Bono, Ark.; three brothers, Jerry Don James, of Jonesboro, Ark., Ricky James, of Cherry Valley, Ark., and Terry James, of Paragould, Ark.; sister, Teresa Taylor, of Bay, Ark.; grandchildren, Trever James, Lance Corp. Cody Hicks, Austin Hicks, TyrDyon McCollum, Breanne McCollum, Alexa McCollum; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Edward McCollum, Austin Hicks, Trever James, Earnest Avants, Shane Terrell and Chad Willingham.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
