Funeral services for Sherri L. Starling, 49, Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at College Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy P. Cleaver, eulogist, officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler.
Ms. Starling died Nov. 10, 2013, in Baylor Hospital, Dallas.
She was born April 17, 1964, in Tyler and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of John Tyler High School, Tyler Junior College and earned a bachelor's degree from The University of Texas
at Tyler. She was a member of St. Violet Baptist Church. She served as administrative assistant for the Original East Texas Baptist Association (OETBA), was a musician for Amos Lyons Youth Choir and a member of Gospel Music Workshop of America. She was a grants and contract specialist at UT Health Northeast.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Belinda Gail Starling; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include her parents, Enois and Mary Brown Starling; and sisters, Glenda London, Vanessa Choice and Marilyn Montgomery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. at College Hill Baptist Church.
