Services for Phillip Michael Davis, 72, Pasadena, formerly of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville, with Bro. Lester Forman.
Interment will be in McDonald Cemetery.
Born June 30, 1942, in Jacksonville, Mr. Davis passed away Aug. 6, 2014, in Pasadena.
Mike served seven years in the United States Navy
and went on to attend Stephen F. Austin State University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching his beloved University of Texas
Longhorns play football. Mike enjoyed spending birthdays and special occasions with Mindy Nixon, whom he loved as a daughter, and her husband, Trey, and their three children, whom he loved like his own grandchildren, Ty, Travis and Taylor.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Tanya Davis and Rebecca Hammons. He leaves behind one grandson, Justin Hammons. Mike is also survived by one sister, Betty Kimes and husband Jerry Kimes; brother, Wayne Davis and wife Kathy Davis; and sister-in-law, Mary Davis; as well as many nieces and nephews that he loved and adored very much.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Chester Davis; mother, Pansy Jane Davis; as well as his twin brothers, Gale Davis and Dale Davis.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
