Payton Nicole Herrington

Services for Payton Nicole Herrington, age 22, of Lindale are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, in Lindale First United Methodist Church with Dr. Mike Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Lindale City Cemetery. Payton died on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013. She was born on May 7, 1991, in Tyler and lived the majority of her life in Lindale. Payton was a 2009 graduate of Lindale High School and was currently an honor student at The University of Texas at Tyler, majoring in journalism and mass communications. She loved classic rock music, expressive writing and was an avid reader. Payton was loving, honest and had a huge heart for others. She loved her family and friends and found great joy in spending time with them. Payton was preceded in death by her cousin, Justin McIntyre.
She is survived by mother and stepfather, Melissa and Ewell Love, of Lindale; father, Jeb Herrington, of Frisco; brother, Landon Love, of Lindale; grandparents, Dorothy Hammock, of Big Sandy, Ronnie and Lajuanda Morrow, of Spring; aunts and uncles, Rhonda and Lakel McIntyre, of Lindale, Rhonda and T.J. Carmody, of Pearland, Susan Mader, of Tomball, and Myka Scott, of Lindale; cousins, Jason and Meagan McIntyre and their children, Kinzleigh and Lincoln, of Lindale, Macy Mader, of Austin, John Mader, of San Antonio, Tom, Matt and Cody Carmody, of Pearland, Jacob Pruitt, of Lindale, and Jordan Conley, of Quitman; and special friend, Preston Haile, of Lindale.
Pallbearers will be Jason McIntyre, Jacob Pruitt, John Mader, Tom Carmody, Matt Carmody, Cody Carmody and Preston Haile
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
