Milo Arthur Ensminger

Services for Milo Arthur Ensminger, 85, of Flint will be on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 4 p.m. at CrossPointe Community Church with Pastor Johnathan Ellison officiating under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Ensminger passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at his residence.

He was born May 25, 1927, in Portland, Ore., to Phillip Joseph and Bertha Johanna Schneider Ensminger.

Milo attended CrossPointe Community Church.

Mr. Ensminger was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 51 years and served as past grand master three times.

He served in the Marine Corps for 23 years, was a gunnery sergeant and mess hall supervisor. Milo served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam two times. He was a Golden Glove boxer and fought all Navy during WWII.

Milo was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 65 years, Betty Grace Ensminger, of Flint; sons, Greg Ensminger and wife Shelly, of Flint, and Mike Ensminger and wife Maria, of Florissant, Colo.; daughter, Amy Kirsher, of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louise Borchert and Elaine White, both of Portland, Ore.

Pallbearers will be the Marine Corps Honor Guard.

Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m., one hour prior to the service, on Friday, May 17, 2013, at CrossPointe Community Church.
