Larry Carlton Walzel

A celebration of life service for Larry Carlton Walzel 76, of Tyler will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov, 4, 2012, in the activity center of Henry Chapel United Methodist Church, Farm-to-Market Road 13 East, Troup, under direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home & Covenant Cremations, Bullard.
Mr. Walzel passed away Oct. 31, 2012, in Tyler.
Mr. Walzel was born April 4, 1936, to the late Ray and Ann Walzel in Wharton.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Suellen Chittim Walzel of Tyler; sons, Chuck and Felina Walzel, San Antonio, and Sam and Tara Walzel, Athens; grandchildren, Renita, Elaina, Harlan and Ella Raye Walzel; and sister, Rayetta Kliemann. He is also loved by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Walzel.
Larry graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler with a design draftsman degree. He was a world class joker and enjoyed every minute of life right up to the moment the Lord carried him home. He will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make memorials to the Troup food pantry in care of Troup First United Methodist Church.
