Kenneth Samuel Dieter

Funeral services for Kenneth Samuel Dieter, 69, of Tyler will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Tyler Christian Fellowship with burial in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born to the late Edwin Dieter and Dorothy Dieter Hendricks, Dec. 8, 1943, in Phoenix-ville, Pa., and passed away Nov. 24, 2013, in Tyler. Mr. Dieter served our country in the U.S. Army in Korea in the 1960s. Ken married Linda Quay in Pennsylvania where he lived.
In 1983, Ken and his family moved to Tyler to join Youth With A Mission's School of the Bible. He graduated from the School of the Bible in 1984. Ken worked in East Texas and served on the mission field in Central and South America. His heart was always in missions.
He was an active member of Tyler Christian Fellowship Church. He greeted people at the door every Sunday he could for 25-plus years as well as coaching softball for most of his life.
Ken is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda; his two sons, Jamie and Benjamin; his two granddaughters; and his two brothers, Edwin and Larry Dieter.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Dieter, Ben Dieter, Roy Koerbel, Rodney Symes, Johnny Watkins and Steve Clark.
Honorary pallbearer will be Earl Quay
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Tyler Christian Fellowship Building Fund.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
