Jimmie Rolling

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Rolling, 87, of Tyler are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with Minister N'Ericka Car-ter officiating.
Burial will be in Lee Springs Cemetery under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.
Mr. Rolling died Sept. 28, 2013, at Mother Frances Hospital.
He was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Flint and was a lifelong resident of Smith County. He was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and American Legion Post No. 842. He retired from Dennard Supply Co. and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; one son; and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lee Rolling, Tyler; sons, Bennie Barnes, John (Frankie) Rolling and Timothy Rolling, all of Tyler; daughters, Marilyn Rolling, Nettie (Henry) Brown, of Tyler, and Sarah Barnes, Dallas; sister, Mardell Barnes, Tyler; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and a special granddaughter, Cassandra Rolling, Tyler.
