Jennie Beth Beaty

Jennie Beth (Lawson) Beaty, of Allen passed away on May 12, 2013, at the age of 87. She was born on July 30, 1925, in Fox, Okla., to James Riley and Gladys (Hodges) Lawson. She grew up in Oklahoma City, Okla., where she graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1943. Jennie attended The University of Texas at Tyler taking art classes. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed mostly oil painting. On April 1, 1943, Jennie married Robert Stoll Beaty in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was very interested in the well being of her family.

She is survived by her children, Janet Jones and husband Bob, of Allen, Robert Beaty and wife Elizabeth, of College Station, and John Beaty, of Frisco; grandchildren, Rob Jones and wife Kristi, of Coppell, Mike Jones and wife JoAnne, of Sanger, Robert Beaty Jr. and wife Laura, of College Station, Jennifer Beaty, of College Station, and James Butler, of Gainesville, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Daniel Jones, Clayton Jones, Macey Jones and Joshua Jones; brother, Larry Lawson, of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Peggy Faubion, of Duncanville, and Shirley Jackson of Edmond, Okla.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gladys Lawson; husband, Robert Beaty; daughter, Susan Butler; and brother, Stanley Lawson.

A private family inurnment will be in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
