James Walter Brewster

Services for Mr. James Walter Brewster, age 78, of Lindale, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Bobby McClenny officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Mr. Brewster died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in a Tyler hospital. He was born on Oct. 6, 1935, in Lindale to Arlin and Oleta Tucker and was a lifelong resident of Lindale. Mr. Brewster was a member of the Lindale First United Methodist Church and was a former Rotarian and city councilman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Brewster.
Mr. Brewster was retired from the La Gloria Refinery.
Survivors include daughter, Susie Brewster Fox, of Lindale; son, Ambassador James Wally Brewster, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; son-in-law, Bob Satawake, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; mother, Mrs. Oleta Tucker, of Lindale; two sisters, Arlene Duncan and husband Benny, of Lindale, and Mary Jeane May, of Mineral Springs, Ark.; sister-in-law, Jimmie Brewster, of Lindale; grandchildren, Kristen Nicole Fox, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Gregory Fox, of Conroe; and great-grandson, Mason Fox, of The Woodlands.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and the family will receive friends prior to the 2 p.m. service time on Sunday.
