Funeral services for firefighter Jalen ShaQuille DaShun Smith, 20, of Tyler will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Green Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard McCowin officiating.

Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.

Mr. Smith died Dec. 3, 2012, at ETMC.

He was born March 31, 1992, in Tyler and was a 2010 graduate of Chapel Hill High School. He was a lifelong resident of Smith County and a member of Triumph The Church and Kingdom of God in Christ. He was a firefighter for Jackson Heights Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by one aunt, CaTina Butler.

Survivors include mother, Charlean Mosley, Tyler; father, Vincent Smith, Dallas; five sisters, Ambreana Johnson, Dominique Johnson and CaTina Francis, all of Tyler, Genia Terry and Jeree Terry, both of Dallas; and maternal grandparents, Charlie and Jossie Butler, Tyler.

Viewing will be Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Jackson Heights Fire Station No. 2, 19823 Texas Highway 31 E., Tyler.

Viewing will be from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Green Acres Baptist Church, 1607 Troup Highway, Tyler.
