Henry Grady Faulk Jr., age 91, of Grapevine, formerly of Tyler, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the mid-afternoon hours of Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Dancing River Assisted Living in Grapevine.
Grady was born on April 8, 1921, in Brighton, Colo., to Henry Grady and Margaret L. Faulk, who preceded him in death. He graduated from John Tyler High School, attended Tyler Junior College, Texas A&M University
and earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. Grady served in the United States Army in World War II
and in the Korean War
. He retired from the Army Reserves with the rank of major.
Following his military career, Grady taught in the Tyler public schools and at Tyler Junior College, but he spent most of his career in various executive positions in the medical field before retiring from the UT Health Center at Tyler.
Grady was an active member of Marvin United Methodist Church, Marvin Bible Class and the Willow Brook Country Club. He often taught intermediate and adult Sunday school classes and served on various church boards.
Grady is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne F. and Tim Baldree, of Stephenville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael B. and Sandra I. McKinney, of Colleyville; and grandsons, Matthew and Bradley McKinney.
Grady also was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sara Bess McKinney Faulk.
Services for Henry Grady Faulk Jr. will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Lloyd James Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerry Giles officiating. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
