Franklin Winston Lilly

Services for Mr. Franklin Winston Lilly, age 71, of Lindale, are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in the New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale.
Mr. Lilly went to be with his Lord on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at the Hospice HomePlace in Tyler. He was born on Jan. 12, 1942, in Commerce to Elton Carr and Ruth Perry Lilly, and was formerly of Tyler before moving to Lindale in 1981. Mr. Lilly was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a captain in the U.S. Air Force, and was a quality control analyst for the Texas Department of Human Services. He was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. Mr. Lilly created an amazing legacy every day of his life by serving and blessing others through many unselfish acts of kindness. He was the rock of his family, who loved his wife of 43 years, Willene, and adored his children, his family and his dog, Chole.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Willene Jackson Lilly, of Lindale; children, Amber Lilly Baquet and Craig Williams, of Lindale, Samuel Rusk Lilly and wife Karla, of Lindale; Jack Garrett Lilly, of Mineola, and Jodi Elizabeth Lilly Protsman and husband Jacob, of Fort Worth; three sisters, Mary Ruth Greeley and husband Arlin, of Coolridge, Ariz., Betty Sotelo, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Judy Madaski and husband Chuck, of Clovis, Calif.; four grandchildren, Addison Codi Baquet, Blake Garrett Lilly, Alexus Grace Lilly and Brylee Jade Baquet; and special friends, Ann Carlisle, of Lindale, and Larry Henry, of Chandler
Pallbearers are Keith Johnson, Cary Johnson, Michael Rhodes, Jeff Fennel, David O'Connor, Phil Lee and Joey Hollifield.
Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Henry.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
