Edwin Bryan Taylor

Edwin Bryan Taylor was promoted into heaven through death on July 27, 2013, in Hendersonville, Tenn., after a courageous battle against ALS.
He was born Feb. 23, 1941, in Tyler to Melvin and Ruth Taylor, who preceded him in death. He served 33 years in the U.S. Army, being the first to achieve the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5. He served in both the Vietnam War and Desert Storm, earning a Distinguished Flying Cross and Bronze Star in battle.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Darlene Taylor; daughter, Stephanie Acevedo (Kevin); son, Chris Taylor (Lorie); and four loving grandchildren, all of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and son, Tom Taylor, of Tucker, Ga. He is survived by sister, Janis Taylor Higgins (Pat), of Austin, and brother, John W. Taylor (Norma), of Tyler.
