Duane Charles Lebl Sr., 77, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at The Hospice of East Texas HomePlace in Tyler. He was born March 2, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., as an only child to Charles Lebl and Ethel Hinz Lebl.
Duane graduated Tyler High School in 1954 and was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and The University of Texas
at Austin. He met the love of his life, Madeliene Gladys Payne, while he was attending school in Atlanta. They were married June 2, 1959, and celebrated more than 50 years of marriage prior to Madeliene's death on Aug.16, 2011.
Duane was an avid golfer and spent most of his business career working with his father, Charles "Chuck" Lebl, in the family business, Duratile of Texas, which opened in Tyler in 1947.
Survivors include his sons, Duane Charles Lebl Jr. and daughter-in-law Christie Johnson Lebl, of Memphis, Tenn., Christopher Todd and Carolyn Fulford Lebl, of Tyler; grandchildren, Michael Brandon Lebl and Kimberly Morgan Lebl, of Tyler; Charles Austin Alexander Lebl, of Dallas; Taylor Lee Galvin, of San Antonio, and Christopher Delay Galvin, of Plano.
