Clio Battee

Memorial services for Clio Battee, 89, Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Community Funeral Home of Tyler Chapel with minister Rayshon Battee officiating.

Mr. Battee died Dec. 26, 2012, at The Hospice of East Texas.

He was born July 4, 1923, in Winona and attended Winona Industrial High School. He lived in Dallas and the past five years in Tyler.

Mr. Battee served in World War II and retired from Tyler Pipe Industries in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four children, two sisters and seven brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Marselles Battee, Red Springs, and Clio Battee Jr., Dallas; six daughters, Gloria Pullum, Hawkins, Thelma Black, Betty Wilson and Celeste Carpenter, all of Tyler, Thomastine Battee and Patrick McGee, both of Dallas; one sister, Betsy Allen, Dallas; 21 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
