Clark Broadhurst

Visitation for Philip Clark Broadhurst, 69, Golden, is scheduled for Thursday, April 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.

Clark passed away on April 5, 2013, in Tyler.

He was born Dec. 6, 1943, in Salina, Kan., to the late Philip Amos Broadhurst and Willie Frances Wakefield Broadhurst. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He lived in Golden five years after moving from "Hootyville." He was the proud owner of Broke-In Boots and appeared as "The Bootman" on Texas Country Reporter and Proud of East Texas.

Survivors include his sons, Philip Antone Broadhurst and Zachary Clark Broadhurst; daughters, Robin Leiilima Makaike and Erin Laine Broadhurst; brothers, Steve Broadhurst, John Broadhurst and Jack Broadhurst; sister, Kathleen Charles; grandchildren, Micaiah Makaike, Jeriah Makaike, Tasia-Marie Collier and Kaimana Broadhurst; and great-grandchild, Eden Collier.
