Funeral Mass for Priscilla Hill Doherty, age 83, of Tyler are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Father Jose Lopez officiating under direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home & Covenant Cremations, Bullard.
Mrs. Doherty was born May 4, 1929, in Logan, W.Va.
She passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Tyler. Mrs. Doherty lived in Tyler for the past 22 years and was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Catholic Daughters of America, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and charter member of St. Boniface Altar Society.
She was a funeral director and former owner and operator of Irvington Funeral Home in Houston.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Chauvin; parents, Yates Hill and Dell Cannon; sister, Lorane Canada; and brother, Olyn Hill.
Mrs. Doherty is survived by her husband, F.J. "Frank" Doherty, Tyler; children, Richard Joseph Doherty, Frankston, Harry Eugene Chauvin, Montgomery, Theresa Smith, Forney, Alysa Smith, Stephenville; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Bill Necessary officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are the Knights of Columbus.
