Funeral services for Mr. Kenoly J. Frost, 98, of Big Sandy are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at J.N. Ervin Chapel at Jarvis Christian College with the Rev. Olin Fregia officiating.
Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Hawkins, under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.
Mr. Frost died Oct. 20, 2012, at Colonial Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lindale. He was born May 4, 1914, in Hawkins and had lived in Upshur and Wood counties for the last 66 years. He was a graduate of Southern Christian Institute at Edwards, Miss., and Prairie View A&M University. He was a retired X-ray technician from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. He was a member of Jarvis Christian Church, serving as chairman of the elders and treasurer. He had served on the Big Sandy school board and Fouke Community Water board and was a former Mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lurie Frost and son, James Wilson.
Survivors include son, Reginald C. (Stenet) Frost of Hawkins; daughter, Shirley A. (Ronald) Valentine of Big Sandy; sister, Mattie McCloria of Dayton, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to service at the chapel.
