Funeral services for Sigfred "Sig" John Johnson, age 88, of Berryville are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Frankston, with the Rev. Doug Howell officiating.
Mr. Johnson passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, in Frankston.
He was born March 27, 1924, in Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Johnson was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Frankston, served in the United States Army during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart, and was a salesman in the awards and trophy business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sigfred Joseph Johnson and Mary Helen Schwantkowski Johnson; brother, Joseph Johnson; sister, Loretta Schmable; and wife, Jean Johnson.
Survivors include his special friend, Millie Ballard, of Frankston; son, John "Al" Johnson and wife Mindy, of Berryville; daughter, Dr. Kathryn Riffe, of Milan, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
