Services for John Yost will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.
John Howard Yost Jr. passed away at the age of 42 on Feb. 4, 2013. He was born June 19, 1970, in Norfolk, Va. He had been a resident of Ben Wheeler for 10 years. He was raised in Jacksonville and Fort Myers, Fla. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years, and was a Gulf War veteran. He worked as a boiler operator for Delek in Tyler for nine years. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed shooting targets in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Howard Yost Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Yost of Ben Wheeler; three children, Kaitlyn Yost, Jonathan Yost and Katryna Yost, all of Ben Wheeler; mother, Alice Hoy of Fort Myers, Fla.; dad, Dean Hoy of Fort Myers, Fla.; sisters and brothers, Mary Hoy, Michelle Anders, Matt Hoy, Will Hoy and Dean'na Hoy.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
