Services for Jean Fred Beam, 54, of Tyler will be on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at Green Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Brumley officiating.
Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery in New Chapel Hill under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Beam passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Mother Frances Hospital.
He was born Sept. 3, 1958, in Great Lakes, Ill., to Clarence and Irmgard Lupus Beam.
Fred was a longtime member of Green Acres Baptist Church and was a director in Potter's Cast Drama Ministries of the Church.
Mr. Beam moved to Tyler in 1971 and graduated from John Tyler High School. He received his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Tyler.
Fred worked for Payless Cashways as a manager for many years before he found his calling as an audioprosthologist in 2001 and spent the last several years with the ENT Associates of East Texas. Mr. Beam enjoyed running, adventures with his children and traveling with his family to numerous destinations.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Wilhelm Beam; and grandmother, Marie Johnson.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 15 years, Tamara Beam of Tyler; daughter, Amielia Rachelle Beam and son, Peter Joren Beam of Tyler; brothers, Philip and Ira Beam of Tyler and Ernie Beam of Europe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Cynthia Humphries of Hooks; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Scott Green, Butch Beaulieu, Brian Humphries, Chase Bynum, Philip Beam and Gary Conner.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
